The Times of India Social Impact Awards in the category of 'LIVELIHOODS'

Shroffs Foundation Trust (SFT) was conferred The Times of India Social Impact Awards in the category of ‘LIVELIHOODS’ in recognition of its outstanding work in watershed development, improved agri–practices, health services and BPO training, especially in the tribal area of Chhota Udepur.

We are honored and we are humbled.

This Award belongs to our tribal women and men who accepted us as their partner and they shared our vision of better future for themselves. They agreed to improve their lands through soil and water conservation, accepted new technology in agriculture.

Dairy development is another area where these tribal women learnt, starting with ‘How to milk cattle’ to ‘Being entrepreneurs today’, earning their livelihood through milk.

Similarly, those women who learnt intricate Kutchhi embroidery, had never held a needle in their hands, are earning their livelihood through this work. Their work sells in international markets today.

Also to numerous young entrepreneurs who started numerous small businesses in the tribal area. All these people together are today’s vibrant wealth generators and this Award belong to them.
