Maternal and Child Health, Family Planning, Adolescent Reproductive Health, Prevention and Management of Reproductive Tract Infection and Saving the Girl Child (Prevention of Female Feticide) are the major components of RCH II program. The Department of Health and Family Welfare, Govt. of Gujarat, in the Ninth Five Year Plan introduced the Mother NGO (MNGO) scheme under Reproductive and Child Health Program (RCH-II).
Shroffs Foundation Trust was selected as an MNGO for Vadodara District. Anand Niketan Ashram Trust and Lakshya Trust were selected as two Field NGOs (FNGOs) for the under served areas of Chhota Udepur Taluka.
The project will provide Reproductive and Child Health related services to 34,000 people in 28 villages of Chhota Udepur taluka. Here SFT as Mother NGO will train the field workers of FNGOs for capacity building and supervise and monitor through out project implementation during 3 years. Under the same project,, SFT will implement the program in the capacity of an FNGO in Banni under the supervision of 'Spandan' a MNGO. The project will be implemented by SFT in 27 villages of Banni to provide Reproductive and Child Health related services to 11,000 people during 3 year.
